Regular Season Round 23: Crvena zvezda - Mega BG 81-72

One of the most interesting games of round 23 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Beograd where fourth rankedCrvena zvezda won against visiting Mega BG (11-12) 81-72 . Crvena zvezda forced 21 Mega BG turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Filip Petrusev (211-2000, college: Gonzaga) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Brazilian point guard Yago Dos Santos (175-1999) chipped in 11 points and 5 assists. Crvena zvezda's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Croatian forward Andrija Jelavic (207-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Mihailo Petrovic (190-2003) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending Serbian champion (18-5) moved-up to third place, which they share with Dubai. Loser Mega BG keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Zadar.
